Join us. But be you. At Deloitte, you’ll do more than just join something, you’ll add something. You’ve found a place that values your curiosity, passion, and desire to work alongside brilliant people on the things that really matter. There really is only one question: What impact do YOU want to make?

  • Great benefits such as a carpark, wellness benefits, mobile phone and flexible working options

About this team:

Deloitte are an award-winning professional services firm with a wide range of services which has positioned us as a market leader around the world. Our Ōtautahi/Christchurch Deloitte Office is now looking for someone like you, a Business Development and Bid Manager, to join us to help create value for our clients and realise new opportunities to make an impact that matters.

This is an interesting hybrid role, where you will be deeply engrained with our Christchurch office across all levels and Business Units, while also being a key member of our Growth team nationally. No matter which team you are working you will always find passionate, high performing people who enjoy solving problems alongside you.
Your typical day will include:
  • Working closely with our national Clients and Sectors Lead, our Christchurch Office Managing Partner and wider Partner team on a range of client and business development activities to support our market growth objectives.
  • Project managing strategic business development opportunities through the entire sales lifecycle; which includes playing a hands on role for bid/RFP/RFI proposals, resource management, and creating and/or supporting go to market strategies aligned with our Deloitte best practice methodologies.
  • Supporting our client teams through facilitating and coaching best practice account management and relationship building opportunities with new and existing clients.
  • Work closely with lead client partners to bring together and connect a mix of resources, expertise and people across different service portfolios, to uncover opportunities and deliver targeted client solutions as a unified Deloitte brand.
  • Manage our client feedback programme to continuously learn and evolve our market approach to deliver client needs and make an impact that matters.
Enough about us, let’s talk about you. You are someone with:
  • Sound commercial experience and at least 8+ years’ of relevant work experience in a hands-on key account management, business development or B2B sales management role. Professional services or similar corporate environment will be highly advantageous.
  • Experience working on new business proposals and managing bids across the entire lifecycle. Demonstrating the ability to apply sound rationale and advice throughout the entire account management and sales process.
  • A strong relationship builder and client focus. The ability to work with internal stakeholders (Partners) and articulate client needs from a business point of view/commercial perspective will be key to your success.
  • Project management and problem solving skills; able to build teams, incubate ideas and creating plans to deliver high quality outcomes.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills; a credible and persuasive communicator with good coaching and influencing skills.
  • A critical thinker, able to ask open questions and probe meaningfully to create innovative ideas that furthers the success of our client relationships.
