Parks & Community Facilities (PCF) is committed to making great places Aucklander’s love and administer parks, reserves, and associated community assets. As kaitiaki (guardian) of Auckland Council facilities, we play a vital role in promoting the wellbeing of our communities while also delivering strategically significant programmes. We need an experienced leasing specialist to manage our commercial leases within the PCF portfolio.
As the Commercial Leasing Manager, you’ll manage leases and licenses on Council’s behalf, ensuring an excellent standard of property and leasing management. You’ll develop effective relationships with a range of internal and external stakeholders, including landlords, tenants, local boards, mana whenua, and more.
This varied role will see you manage important leasing events such as renewals, rent reviews, compliance and reporting reviews and other lease functions. Additionally, you’ll proactively respond to any potential issues or risks affecting the leasing portfolio. As you help drive a more strategic approach towards leasing and property management, you’ll be responsible for developing and maintaining lease delivery plans and work programmes to help ensure our property use is getting the best outcomes for Aucklanders.
He kōrero mōu: About you
With a tertiary qualification in property, law, valuation or another relevant field, you’ll bring with you solid experience in commercial property management, leasing and negotiation. You’ll be comfortable assessing and implementing asset management plans and occupancy agreements, and adept at analysing financial and property data. You’ll have prior exposure to property management systems, with any experience using SAP, Share Point or GIS/Geospatial mapping systems being particularly beneficial. You’ll also have some familiarity with relevant property-related legislation.
With a knack for relationship management, you’ll be skilled at building strong partnerships with a wide range of stakeholders.
You’ll enjoy working in a collaborative and flexible team environment, and have a good attitude, resilience, and the ability to manage high-pressure situations.
This role is based in the CBD but requires travel to other parts of the Auckland region, so it is important that you hold a New Zealand driver’s license.
