This is a two-year fixed term contract role in the Electoral Commission's Enrolment team, in the Operations group.
We are looking for a Principal Advisor, Enrolment, to support the Director Enrolment and Enrolment leadership team to design and build a modern, innovative, and elector centric enrolment system through technology, people, procedures and processes. The role will also lead the design and implementation of robust integrity and assurance processes that build trust in enrolment, and our democracy overall.
The role works with others across the Operations group and the wider Electoral Commission, including other principal advisors, to support decision making from best practice regulatory and service delivery perspectives.
As part of the Enrolment Leadership Team, you will work with internal and external stakeholders and other government agencies on the development and application of enrolment services, particularly in a digital service delivery context. This includes other teams across the Electoral Commission, external suppliers and partners, international jurisdictions, Councils, research organisations, and other public service agencies.
The salary band is $145- $178k
Mōhou ake | About you
You are an experienced, action-orientated Senior or Principal Advisor, with significant experience in leading or implementing change and improvement in a complex regulatory system or similar.
You have a thorough understanding of, and the ability to design and implement vigorous integrity, risk management and quality assurance practices and processes. You build strong, beneficial relationships with both internal and external stakeholders through excellent communications skills, the ability to influence others, and the establishment and maintenance of effective networks across and within organisations.
You have a track record of successful delivery, through best practice research and analysis, championing continuous improvement, providing advice and support to others, critical and strategic thinking, performance measurement, planning and reporting.
