METRO opened its first cash & carry wholesale center in Pakistan in 2007 & expanded to 5 wholesale centers in a short span of 18 months. In July 2012 METRO and Makro-Habib combined their wholesale business in Pakistan marking the beginning of a long-term partnership to the mutual benefit of both companies. The merger allowed METRO and Makro-Habib to combine resources and gain the financial strength to lead and grow in a challenging environment and to gain synergies targeted to generate value for our customers and suppliers alike. Today the company is operating 10 wholesale centers in Lahore, Karachi, Multan, Islamabad & Faisalabad.
METRO Pakistan (Pvt) Limited is part of METRO GROUP’s sales division METRO Cash & Carry, the international leader in self-service wholesale. The company operates more than 750 stores in 25 countries in Europe, Asia and Africa and has a workforce of over 107,000 employees. Sales in 2016/17 were approximately 37 billion Euro.
Job Description
- Develop branch plan to build the business by identifying and understanding local markets
- Achieve branch objectives for sales and profit performance
- Develop strong business relationships with customers.
- Analyze sales and stock figures and taking action to expand areas of growth.
- Analyze the results (weekly, monthly and quarterly) of the Sales Team in terms of turnover, profitability, loses, margin, frequency, average turnover to make the right decisions to improve the situation if needed
- Collect and communicate Customer Demands, Needs and Expectations and then will have to propose solutions and alternatives to them in a short terms view with the contribution of the Store manager and the District Sales Manager as well as the Targeted Group.
- Involved in the customer portfolio selection, in close contact with the Store Managers and the District Sales Managers
- Reach the global objectives of her/his team in term of growth and cost according to the following KPI’s:
- Increase the number of the new buying customer (activation)
- Increase of the portfolios dedicated to her/his team
- Average turnover per customer for her/his team
- Manage, motivate, train, follow and control the activity of the Sales Staff in order to optimize the result
- Responsible for some specific budgets based on structural issues like personnel, bonus, incentives and salary but also with advertising and promotion if needed.
Qualifications
Intermediate (with 8+ years' work experience) or Graduation (with less than 8 years’ work experience).
