Key Responsibilities:
Data Entry:
- Enter financial data such as invoices, receipts, transactions, and other financial records into the system with high accuracy.
- Update and maintain financial records, ensuring all data is current and correctly categorized.
- Verify the accuracy of financial data by cross-referencing source documents and resolving discrepancies.
- Organize and maintain electronic and paper files for easy retrieval and reference.
- Assist in the preparation of financial reports by providing accurate data from the database.
- Conduct regular audits to ensure data integrity and compliance with company policies.
- Assist the finance team with tasks such as account reconciliation, invoice processing, and budget tracking.
- Prepare and process payment vouchers, expense reports, and other financial documentation.
- Coordinate with other departments to gather and verify financial data as needed.
- Ensure that all financial data is handled in compliance with company policies and relevant regulations.
- Maintain confidentiality of sensitive financial information.
- Follow data entry procedures and protocols to maintain the integrity of financial records.
- Suggest improvements to data entry processes to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
- Stay updated on financial regulations and company policies that may affect data entry procedures.
- Participate in training sessions to improve data entry skills and financial knowledge.
Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.s.
- Basic understanding of financial principles and terminology.
- 1-2 years of experience in data entry, preferably in a finance or accounting environment.
- Familiarity with financial software and tools such as Quick Books, SAP, or similar systems.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
- Strong typing skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work with large volumes of data efficiently.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize tasks.
- Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Discretion and integrity when handling sensitive financial information.
