Job Title: Billing Specialist

Job Description:
We are looking for a detail-oriented Billing Specialist to join our public accounting firm. The ideal candidate will have experience in billing and accounts receivable processes, exceptional organisational skills, and a strong understanding of financial principles. You will play a crucial role in ensuring accurate and timely invoicing for our clients while maintaining positive relationships and supporting our overall financial operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Invoice Preparation:
- Prepare and issue invoices for services rendered, ensuring accuracy and compliance with firm policies and client agreements.
- Review and verify billing information, including time entries and expense reports, to ensure completeness.
- Client Communication:
- Serve as a point of contact for clients regarding billing inquiries and discrepancies.
- Communicate effectively with clients to clarify billing issues and provide necessary documentation.
- Payment Processing:
- Monitor accounts receivable and follow up on outstanding invoices to ensure timely payment.
- Process payments received and update records in the accounting system promptly.
- Record Keeping:
- Maintain accurate billing records and client files, ensuring that all documents are organised and easily accessible.
- Assist in the preparation of financial reports related to billing and collections.
- Collaboration:
- Work closely with the accounting and finance teams to ensure smooth financial operations and resolve any billing-related issues.
- Coordinate with project managers and other departments to gather necessary information for accurate billing.
- System Maintenance:
- Update and maintain billing software and systems to ensure efficiency and accuracy in billing processes.
- Assist in the implementation of new billing procedures and technologies as needed.
- Compliance:
- Ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and accounting standards in all billing practices.
- Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in billing and accounts receivable management.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (preferred).
- Proven experience in billing, accounts receivable, or a similar role, preferably within a public accounting or professional services firm.
- Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: Rs50,000.00 - Rs60,000.00 per month
