Position Overview:
The Tax Officer will be responsible for managing all tax-related matters for YAP Pakistan. This includes ensuring the company complies with Pakistan’s tax regulations, managing the tax reporting process, and working with external auditors to ensure accuracy. The Tax Officer will play a critical role in tax planning and identifying potential tax-saving opportunities for the company.


Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee the preparation and submission of tax returns, including corporate tax, VAT, and withholding taxes.

• Monitor and ensure compliance with all tax laws, regulations, and filing deadlines.

• Perform tax reconciliations and work closely with external auditors to address any discrepancies.

• Stay updated on changes in tax laws and regulations that could impact the business and ensure the company is compliant.

• Assist in tax audits, reviews, and inspections by regulatory authorities.

• Identify and implement tax-saving strategies and opportunities for the business.

• Manage relationships with tax authorities and consultants to resolve tax issues and disputes.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

• Minimum of 4 years of experience in tax management, preferably within the banking or fintech industry.

• Strong understanding of Pakistan’s tax regulations, including corporate taxes, VAT, and tax reporting.

• Proven experience in preparing and filing tax returns, and managing tax audits.

• Ability to analyze and interpret complex tax laws and apply them effectively to business operations.
