Job Title: Director of Med-Surg RN | Panama City, FL
Location: Panama City, FL
Salary Range: $105,000 - $125,000 based on experience, plus 15% annual bonus incentive
Overview:
Are you a dynamic and experienced RN leader ready to take the next step in your career? We are seeking a Director of Med-Surg to join our team at a state-of-the-art 238-bed acute care hospital in Panama City, FL. This is a full-time role providing leadership and direction for the Med-Surg unit.
Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage the daily operations of the 42-bed Med-Surg unit with oversight of 57 FTEs, including a manager, clinical nurse coordinators (CNCs), RNs, LPNs, and Patient Care Techs.
• Enhance department performance through improvement initiatives and ensure optimal resource utilization.
• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to support patient care and outcomes.
• Oversee staff hiring, evaluations, and discipline in compliance with hospital policies.
• Maintain a culture of engagement and growth within the unit.
• Ensure compliance with facility goals and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications:

• At least 2-3 years of recent acute care manager-level experience (any adult inpatient unit from an acute hospital setting).
• Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing or related field (Required).
• Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification or instructor certification (within 30 days of start date).
• Registered Nurse (RN) licensure.
• Strong leadership and communication skills with the ability to manage multidisciplinary teams.
