Billing Specialist (US Account | WFH)

ROLE SUMMARY
Our client (a Microsoft-specific technology consulting organization) is looking for an Operations Specialist - Billing to work with their Operations team to ensure efficient client onboarding, invoicing, payment processing, pricing updates, and reconciliations. He/she should be passionate about utilizing the latest technologies to enhance their financial processes and solve complex challenges. The ideal candidate is solution-focused, dedicated to addressing customers' business needs, and thrives in a collaborative team environment.
WORK SCHEDULE: TBD, follows Philippine holidays
POSITION TYPE: Full Time
WORK ARRANGEMENT: Remote
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
  • Generate and process invoices and credit memos
  • Process online payments for subscription/licensing-related services
  • Process wire and ACH remittances
  • Customer refund processing
  • Assure timely collection of monies due and follow up on delinquent accounts
  • Maintain, record, report, and monitor customer accounts and past-due statuses
  • Assist customers with accounts receivable inquiries
  • Issue credit memos and deactivate canceled licenses
  • Handle non-escalated requests by composing emails, discussing, and explaining to customers information related to rates, renewals, credit card expirations, services, revised licenses, and invoices
  • Update billing addresses in recurring billing
  • Review and respond to credit card disputes
  • Manage subscription services to ensure the proper capture of contract terms, licensed components, cancellations, and rate changes
  • Perform other related responsibilities, as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS:
  • A Bachelor’s degree in the related field is preferred
  • Knowledge of double-entry accounting is nice to have
  • Proven ability to be a productive member of an operations or finance team
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Suite products, including Teams, Outlook, Excel, Word, etc.
  • Experience with Auto Task, Xero, Bill.com, and other comparable financial accounting software is preferred
  • Possess technical proficiency and the ability to learn new internal software quickly
  • Strong time management skills to assist the team in meeting deliverables
  • Strong written, verbal, and organizational skills with the ability to work well both autonomously and collaboratively
  • Experience in a multi-client environment
  • Analytical skills with particular attention to detail
