ROLE SUMMARY
Our accounting firm client is looking for a Tax Accountant to prepare and file tax returns, ensure compliance with tax laws and regulations, and provide tax planning and consulting services.
WORK SCHEDULE: TBD (Australian Time), follows Philippine holidays
POSITION TYPE: Full Time
WORK ARRANGEMENT: Remote
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Develop and maintain workflow systems
• Explore and leverage XPM software-supported applications
• Provide guidance and oversee accounting and bookkeeping staff
• Liaise directly with clients
• Work with the director on continuous firm improvement
• Prepare financials and returns for clients in diverse industries
• Prepare income tax returns for individuals including employees, investors, and sole traders
• Prepare financial statements and BAS for all business entities
• Handle bookkeeping, payroll, and STP reporting for clients using Xero
• Provide administrative services as required including client additions, preparation of tax invoices, payment collection and receipt, and maintenance of database
• Handle face-to-face meetings with individual clients
• Handle direct liaising with clients and ATO when required

QUALIFICATIONS:

• A Bachelor’s degree in the related field is preferred
• Must have Australian tax experience
• Proficient in tax return and financial statement preparation across all entities
• Certified Accountant or Certified Public Accountant qualified with 5+ years of experience is preferred
• Extensive knowledge and experience with XPM and Xero is ideal
• Motivated, determined, and a positive attitude
• Strong work ethic and effective time management
• Demonstrates confident and clear communication, leadership skills and people management
• Adaptive and responsive to diverse clients and situations
• Ability to be analytical in problem-solving
