- Monitor the Company compliance with the DPA, its IRR, issuances by the NPC and other applicable laws and policies, including but not limited to ensure the conduct of Privacy Impact Assessments relative to activities, measures, projects, programs, or systems of the Company，identify risks associated with the collection, use, disclosure and storage of personal data and their impact and propose measures to manage the risks，advice the Company as regards the necessity of executing a Data Sharing Agreement with third parties, and ensure its compliance with the law, conduct training to cultivate awareness on privacy and data protection within the Company, etc.;
- Serve as the contact person of the Company vis-à-vis data subjects, the NPC and other authorities in all matters concerning data privacy or security issues or concerns and the Company;
- Undertake part of local legal counsel job, including but not limited to advise the Company’s business team on various legal issues involving international purchase and sale of goods, distribution of products, marketing, dealer relationships, public relationships, employment, dispute resolution etc. Draft, review, modify, negotiate and provide your advice on a variety of legal and/or commercial documents, as well as providing legal support during the negotiation, signing and implementation stage;
- Perform other related legal counsel duties, including assist the Company HQ legal team to identify or assess compliance risk, and implement compliance policy in Philippines, implement BYD HQ legal management principles, etc.
- JOB REQUIREMENT
- You should hold a degree of bachelor of laws or above in Philippines or a overseas university.
- Experience in data protection area, or having data protection certification or being qualified to practice law in Philippines, or experience in the automotive industry is preferred. Outstanding fresh graduates are also considered.
- You should be a native English speaker, proficiency in Chinese is preferred.
- Strong interpersonal communication skills, detail-oriented, self-driven, highly efficient problem discovering and solving ability, excellent teamwork skills and strong legal writing and negotiation skills are required. Being willing and able to quickly get involved in a brand-new environment and industry (e.g. new energy) is preferred.
- Strong IT skills is preferred.
Schedule:
- 8 hour shift
