As a Purchasing Buyer, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our purchasing department. You will assist in the procurement of goods and services, maintain accurate records, and work closely with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of products.
Key Responsibilities:
● Assist in sourcing and selecting suppliers based on quality, price, and delivery reliability.
● Prepare purchase orders and ensure proper documentation.
● Track orders and ensure timely delivery of goods.
● Resolve any issues related to orders, such as delays, shortages, or discrepancies.
● Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of purchases, suppliers, and pricing.
● Collaborate with other departments to understand their purchasing needs and provide support.
● Conduct market research to identify new suppliers and evaluate their capabilities.
● Assist in negotiating terms and conditions with suppliers.
● Maintain good relationships with suppliers.
Requirements:
● High school diploma or equivalent; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field is preferred.
● Proven experience in a purchasing or procurement role.
● Strong organizational and time management skills.
● Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
● Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
● Attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.
● Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
● Familiarity with procurement software or ERP systems such as SAP is a plus.
● Willing to go out to purchase or visit suppliers.
● Proactive, sociable and with a positive attitude.
