Key Responsibilities:

• Leadership & People Management: Lead and manage a team of Developers, providing guidance, support, and fostering professional growth. Promote a collaborative team culture and encourage open communication.
• Project Management: Work closely with the Japan Project Manager counterpart to ensure project scope, timelines, and product quality meet requirements, adapting Agile methodologies or the Waterfall model based on project needs.
• Customer & Stakeholder Engagement: Liaise with JP Customers (Product Owners or Project Managers) and manage development leads to achieve project goals.
• Performance Monitoring: Track development KPIs on a monthly basis, address customer feedback, and implement improvements to enhance customer satisfaction.
• Resource Allocation: Ensure appropriate resource allocation to meet project timelines and uphold quality standards.
• Team Development: Mentor, coach, and support team members, helping them develop their skills and advance their careers.
• Quality Assurance: Ensure project quality by monitoring bug rates, escaped defects, and overall product performance.

Qualifications:

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

Experience:

• 5+ years in software development with web technologies, having attained at least a Senior rank in developing web-based applications.
• 2+ years in a leadership role within a software team, demonstrating strong people management skills.
• 1+ year of project management experience, with exposure to Agile and Waterfall methodologies (PMP, Agile, SCM, PO certifications, or other related certifications are a plus).
• Hands-on experience in coding and code reviews, with a strong foundation in Object-Oriented Principles, Git, and software testing.

Technical Skills:

• Proficiency in PHP, Java Script, HTML5, CSS3, and experience with My SQL, AWS, and microservices.
• Preferred experience with various front-end frameworks (Vue.js, React, etc.).
• Communication & Management Skills:
• Excellent communication skills in English and Filipino; Japanese proficiency (N3 or higher) is a plus.
• Strong people management abilities, with a proven track record of mentoring and developing team members.
• Tools & Methodologies: Familiarity with Agile Scrum, Agile Kanban, Waterfall, Atlassian tools, and cloud platforms (e.g., AWS).
