Staff Accountant (US Tax) - Night Shift

San Fernando

Compensation: Competitive Basic Salary
Benefits: HMO plus 2 Free Dependents, P1,500 Rice Allowance, Night Differential (If applicable).
Work Schedule: 12MN - 8AM, Philippine Time (9AM-5PM Pacific Time)
Work Setup: WFH or WFO
Job Description:
Collaborate and support fellow tax team members and administrative staff to ensure excellent service to our clients for their tax preparation and accounting needs. Enjoy a flexible work environment, work/life balance, training, and performance-based bonuses.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Complete/review client monthly, quarterly and /or year-end accounting to allow for tax preparation or financial statement preparation
  • Prepare individual, business, trust, estate tax returns and related tax planning
  • Research tax topics related to specific client questions and needs
  • Meet with clients and address their questions and concerns regarding tax forms and paperwork
  • Reconcile and adjust various general ledger accounts and/or bank statements
  • Build, strengthen and maintain positive business relationships by establishing rapport with clients
  • Communicate and resolve issues in a professional, timely and tactful manner while keeping leadership informed of employee concerns, issues, and problems
  • Address client issues and ensure effective and long-term problem resolution
  • File state sales tax and use tax information by required deadlines
  • Perform other accounting duties as assigned by supervisor/manager
Qualfications:
  • Experience with Quick Books (QBO / Desktop)
  • Experienced data entry in Lacerte (Mandatory); Minimum 4 years (Required)
  • Experienced in the preparation of United States individual, business and trust income tax returns
  • Support Senior tax preparers and junior level staff
  • Work independently with excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Exceptional customer service, communication and follow-up skills
  • Computer savvy and comfortable in a digital/paperless office environment
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, advance Excel skills a plus
  • Ability to think analytically, identify tax issues, opportunities and solutions
  • Ability to work independently
  • Knowledge of state and federal tax form processes
  • Ability to prioritize daily tasks and meet timely obligations with many clients
  • Personal integrity when working with personal and sensitive financial information
Education:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics or related field, required
  • At least three (3) years of related accounting experience required
  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) is strongly preferred.
  • Enrolled Agent or JD a plus
Schedule:
  • Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm Pacific Time Zone
  • Weekend availability during the busy seasons
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: Php70,000.00 - Php90,000.00 per month
