How you’ll make an impact:
For our Audio Streaming team in Bucharest we are hiring a Senior Software Engineer (C++). You will join a highly performing team of engineers who build, own, and maintain backend services and products. You will design, collaborate, and execute building the Ads Wizz products at scale while automating and providing insights into the data onboarding with the SXM Media and Ads Wizz services.

What you’ll do:

Build high-performance, stable, scalable Ads Wizz systems that will be deployed in an enterprise setting.
Participate in the requirements, analysis, design and implementation of the most used Audio Streaming Server in the world - AIS, written in C/C++
Participate in the requirements, analysis, design and implementation of the AIS managed service platform built on top of AWS technologies and Go programming language
Work with various teams of engineers building software in a collaborative development process.
Execute tasks with utmost clarity and precision, demonstrating a strong sense of ownership
Assure quality for your deliverables
Collaborate with the Product team to clarify the scope of the projects.
Support the Incident Management team
Collaborate with the Dev Ops and Global Customer Support teams to ensure flawless production deployments

What you’ll need:

Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science/Mathematics or a similar discipline.
4+ years of software engineering experience in C/C++ programming language
Excellent knowledge of object oriented programming
Understanding engineering software processes, lifecycle methodology, configuration management, release management, and system verification and testing.
Ability to work independently and oversee entire projects or significant parts, focusing on completing the tasks on time.
Ability to research and become proficient in new technologies
Good analytical and problem-solving skills, with meticulous attention to detail and a dedication to continuous improvement.
Interpersonal skills and ability to interact and work with staff at all levels.
We consider a plus some experience crafting services and scalable products, utilizing diverse cloud platforms (ideally AWS)
Mandatory technical expertise in the following areas:
- Experience with Amazon AWS services (S3, SQS, Cloud Front, Lambda, API Gateway, Athena …)
- Knowledge of protocols as HTTP, RTMP, RTSP, HLS
- Experience with automated integration testing frameworks and tools
- Working with containers (Docker, Kubernetes)
- Observability tools like Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack
- Collaboration tools like Miro (or Lucidchart), Jira and Confluence
We consider a plus having some expertise in any of the following areas:
- Designing and maintaining Public APIs
- Security basics (e.g., OAuth2 standard)
- Experience with streaming servers (Shoutcast, icecast, Wowza,...)
- Experience with other programming languages like Go and Python
