Azure/Cloud Technical Support Engineer/Technician (contract/remote) TB

Working hours:
Mondays to Fridays (start 12:00 until 20:00 South African time).
Fridays (start 12:00 – 17:00 online South Africa time) and 17:00 – 20:00 on call South African time.
No weekend work.
Job functions:
Dedicated Support Personnel:
To ensure constant support, skills diversity, and redundancy, two skilled IT support personnel are required to support the client. These personnel will rotate responsibilities, ensuring that:
There is always a skilled professional available during the support hours.
Knowledge transfer and skill development are maintained, reducing the risk of service interruption.
One staff member to cover for the other in case of unexpected unavailability, ensuring uninterrupted service.
Technical Support for Staff:
Day-to-day support for company employees, including troubleshooting and resolution of software and hardware issues.
Support for e-mail systems, office productivity software, and any other IT-related needs of the company staff.
Assistance with the setup and configuration of devices such as desktops, laptops, printers, and mobile devices.
IT Escalation/Helpdesk Support for company application:
1st and 2nd line support for the company’s application, including issue tracking, troubleshooting, and resolution.
Escalation of more complex issues to the company’s internal technical team or third-party providers as required.
Monitoring and responding to application-related incidents reported by the company’s customers.
Providing usage guidance and support to customers using the company’s application.
Network and System Administration:
Monitoring and maintenance of the company’s IT infrastructure, including servers, workstations, and network devices.
Regular updates and patch management to ensure systems are secure and up to date.
Qualifications & experience required:
5 – 8 years Azure Technical Support experience required.
Matric (Senior Certificate) plus relevant IT Degree/Diploma/other relevant certification (Information Technology/Engineering).
Must be able to problem solve very quickly and handle pressure.
Azure certification & Microsoft certification.
Essential skills required:
Solid Azure experience.
Routing & Firewalls.
WAN infrastructure.
Servers, network devices & data centre.
Intune and remote assistance via Team Viewer.
Hardware and software troubleshooting and resolution.
Setup and configuration of devices such as desktops, laptops, printers and mobile devices.
Between 5 - 7 Years
