What will you do?
- You will be responsible for dealing in Bonds, Bond Derivatives, Foreign Exchange and Foreign Exchange Derivatives as part of a Fixed Income Dealing Team.
- You will be responsible for acting as the liaison between portfolio managers and the market place and provide feedback concerning market developments and timing of the transactions.
- You will be responsible for informing the fund managers of the flows during the day.

You will be responsible for liaising with other related areas within the company which will include the following, namely:
- Operations, regarding static data, trade queries, bookings and settlement issues;
- Business support: to ensure that instrument data integrity, including accurate pricing and correct static data, is maintained;
- Compliance and any other areas as needed.
- You will be required to assist other members of the Fixed Income Team with data collection and model maintenance.
- You will be required to ensure that all bond and foreign exchange and associated derivatives market trades are timeously executed, and reasons provided for any delays in trades being executed.
- You will be required to allocate completed orders to each portfolio for which trade was undertaken whilst taking into account the minimum ticket and incremental lot size as stipulated for each individual bond issue.
- You will be required to record trades as soon as possible after execution and provide reasons where this has not occurred.
- You will be back- up to the Money Market dealing activities.
- You will present and participate in Fixed Income Team meetings (morning meetings).

You will be required to assist Curo Financial Services/JSE with any queries relating to booking of local bond and international bond trades.
Knowledge and Skills
- Proficient in Excel, Bloomberg and Nutron.
- Have in depth knowledge of how a Bond broker or Bond proprietry trader at a bank functions.
- Know and have traded with all the big players in the bond market.
- Understand the functioning of the SA Money market and implications of cut-off times.
- Understand the functioning of the foreign exchange market and it’s rules.
- Have knowledge of the FX systems and platforms in the industry,
Qualifications and Experience
- B.Sc (Maths,Stats) with 5-7 years related experience
- Completed All RPE exams
- Knowledge of Local and Foreign Fixed Income Markets and Fixed Income Securities.
