Role Overview:
The IT Helpdesk Support role focuses on configuring, troubleshooting, and optimizing software and systems to ensure a seamless experience for end users. You’ll be the go-to person for resolving software-related issues, setting up new clients, and maintaining software compliance. This includes tasks like configuring desktop applications, customizing client settings, and assisting with system upgrades. Comprehensive training will be provided for specific tools and tasks, empowering you to excel in this position.
Key Responsibilities:
Software Troubleshooting & User Support
Investigate software crashes, freezes, and other malfunctions.
Address compatibility issues between software applications.
Installation & Configuration
Install, configure, and update desktop software, including business-specific tools.
Set up user accounts, permissions, and profiles following company policies.
Customize software settings to align with user needs.
Provide support for operating systems (Windows, mac OS, Linux), including updates and troubleshooting.
Resolve performance issues, boot problems, and error messages.
Guide users on software functions, shortcuts, and troubleshooting steps.
Conduct training sessions for new or updated applications.
Remote Support Capabilities
Utilize remote desktop tools to provide software support without physical access.
Troubleshoot problems for remote users, including VPN setup.
