Tasks

EQUIP is looking for a proactive and hands-on individual to join our team as a Workshop and Field Operations Intern. This position plays a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our equipment and facilities, managing workshop activities, inventory control, and assisting in the maintenance and installation of our systems. The role is crucial for maintaining high operational standards and supporting the technical team in the field.

Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:

• Assist in the daily management of the workshop, ensuring it is organized, stocked, and ready for operations.
• Support in the inventory management of tools, spare parts, and other workshop supplies.
• Aid in the maintenance and repair of equipment, ensuring everything is in optimal working condition.
• Participate in field installations and setup of equipment at various locations.
• Conduct regular checks and maintenance tasks on equipment and systems, identifying and addressing potential issues proactively.
• Collaborate with the technical team to troubleshoot and resolve technical problems both in the workshop and on-site.
• Help manage stock levels, order supplies when needed, and track inventory usage.
• Provide assistance during installations, ensuring all tasks are completed to the highest standard.
• Support logistics operations, including the preparation and transportation of equipment to field locations.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of workshop processes and operational efficiencies.

Requirements

• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Technical aptitude with a willingness to learn and adapt to new tools and processes.
• Basic understanding of workshop and field equipment, or a strong desire to learn.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team, demonstrating initiative and problem-solving skills.
• Physical ability to handle and transport equipment as needed.
• A valid driver’s license is required.
• Flexibility to occasionally work outside regular hours if needed.
• A proactive attitude and a passion for hands-on work and technical challenges.
• Strong communication skills to work effectively with team members and suppliers.
