Accounts Assistant

£25,000 - £35,000 per annum
Butler Rose are excited to be supporting a growing accountancy practice in Portsmouth who are looking to hire an accounts assistant into their team.
This role which will manage a shared portfolio of clients, preparing year end accounts, VAT returns, personal tax self-assessments, and corporation tax computations.
Requirements:

• A minimum of 2+ years’ experience working within a UK accountancy practice is essential.
• Experience preparing year end accounts and the associated corporation tax, VAT returns, and personal tax self-assessments.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the confidence to work closely with clients.
• Experience using Iris would be beneficial but not essential.

Duties:

• Manage a portfolio of varied limited company, sole trader, and partnership accounts.
• Prepare year-end accounts, quarterly VAT returns, personal tax self-assessments, and corporation tax.
• Complete ad-hoc bookkeeping.
• Liaise with clients directly to answer financial queries.
