Job summary
At HMS Raleigh we are inclusive and dedicated, working to provide excellent support across the training estate for all staff and trainees.

If so, we have an exciting opportunity here at Raleigh to fill the post of Administrator within the Health, Safety, Environment Protection (HSEP) department, and we would love to hear from you.
This position is advertised at 37 hours per week.
Job description
Background and context
The successful candidate will be supporting the Raleigh HSEP Dept & Executive team in the delivery of a safe and effective working environment, to meet all appropriate legislation and protocols to improve and sustain the operational efficiency of the establishment.
You will be charged with the administration, supporting and facilitating Health and Safety practices across the site, working with contractors and military staff, enabling collaborative implementation of HSEP in accordance with Ministry of Defence (MOD) Policy (i.e. Defence Safety Publications).
Excellent communication and IT Skills (particularly skills in Excel) are essential, experience in Health and Safety practices is desirable.

HMS RALEIGH also offers an impressive range of on-site facilities including use of our gymnasium and other sporting facilities a pay as you dine restaurant, café, shop and plenty of free, secure, onsite car parking spaces.
Where business needs allow, some roles may be suitable for a combination of office and home-based working. This is a non-contractual arrangement where all office-based employees will be expected to spend a minimum of 60% of their working time in office, subject to capacity and any required workplace adjustments. Requirements to attend other locations for official business, or work in another MOD office, will also count towards this level of attendance. The post does not offer relocation expenses.
External recruits who join the MOD who are new to the Civil Service will be subject to a six-month probation period.
