Job summary
The EFFP plays a crucial role in the delivery of fire safety at RAF Marham by supporting the on-Site Fire and Rescue Service, the Station H&S Advisor, the Station Environmental Adviser and the Head of Establishment to ensure compliance with the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005, applying it to domestic and non-domestic premises. The EFFP will need to be proficient in the MS suite of applications as they will be expected to manage databases to analyse digital information to identify trends.
This position is advertised at 37 hours per week.
Job description
They will manage and maintain the Fire Safety Management System, co-ordinate with building custodians and facility managers to conduct monthly fire safety inspections and any remedial works and actions that occur. Co-ordinate and manage the Fire Safety Dashboard, conduct specific Building/ Facility Manager fire training, Act as the focal point for 1st, 2nd & 3rd Party audits, report fire safety related risks to the Station H&S Adviser so that they can be added to the Station Risk Register (PARMIS) to alert the Ho E and other relevant Stakeholders. They will collaborate with other Station Safety Functions to enable best practice and report them to the Total Safety Board, work with Capita, HQ Air Command and Estates Management Squadron and find opportunities for Continuous Improvement in Fire Safety and other elements of SH&EP in the course of their duties. They will act as Secretary for the quarterly Fire Safety Meeting, own the Station Standing Orders and review them on an annual basis, attend the Total Safety Board and ensure that the Tactical Information Plans are reviewed annually. They will conduct any other associated duty as directed by the Stn H&S Adviser.
Person specification
Hold a NEBOSH Fire Safety Certificate Level 3 or equivalent;
Hold a full valid (ideally clean) UK Manual driving Licence;
Proficient in the use of the MS suite of applications

Where business needs allow, some roles may be suitable for a combination of office and home-based working. This is a non-contractual arrangement where all office-based employees will be expected to spend a minimum of 60% of their working time in office, subject to capacity and any required workplace adjustments. Requirements to attend other locations for official business, or work in another MOD office, will also count towards this level of attendance. The post does not offer relocation expenses.
