Key Outcomes and Accountabilities
This role involves leading and managing a team of auditors to ensure compliance with the BIF Act, while adhering to relevant policies and performance expectations. You will develop processes and methodologies to support audit programs, including assessing trust account records for trustee compliance. Additionally, you will design and implement audit programs that meet best practices and statutory requirements, recommending enforcement actions when necessary. The position also includes conducting complex audits and advising the Director of Financial Compliance and the Assistant Commissioner on related matters, maintaining the public register of trust accounts, managing relationships with financial institutions, and fostering connections with internal and external stakeholders.
Candidate Attributes

Mandatory Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as Commerce or Accountancy.
• Certified Practising Accountant (CPA) or Chartered Accountant (CA).

Ideal Candidate Profile: The ideal candidate will have demonstrated experience in leading teams in complex environments, preferably in a government regulatory context. They should possess extensive auditing experience to ensure compliance with statutory obligations and financial transactions, along with the ability to make delegated decisions under legislation. Strong written and verbal communication skills are essential.
