About the role
Gold Coast Private Hospital is seeking an Orderly to join our team in our Day Surgery Unit on a casual basis.
This role will see you working on our rotational roster Monday - Friday with shift times starting at 6am to 7pm available. In this role you will work within a supportive team to ensure our patients have a great experience during their stay in our DSU.

Specialities include and are not limited to: 24/7 Emergency Care Centre, Medical, Orthopaedic, Bariatric, Neurosurgical, Plastics, ENT & General Surgical, Obstetrics, Cardiac Care and Oncology. As a Theatre Orderly your responsibilities will include:

• Patient Assistance and transfers throughout the DSU

• General housekeeping duties e.g. cleaning beds, organising linen, restocking of equipment, and waste management.

• Remove dirty linen / ensure clean linen is readily available

• Operate in line with WHS policy & procedures

• Deliver excellent customer service to staff, clients and patients

• Cultivating a hospitable and friendly environment for all patients

• Work as an active team member to support all work tasks

Essential Criteria:

• Somone that can work autonomously, and as part of a team

• High level attention to detail

• Commitment to service excellence

• Exceptional customer service and communication skills

• Ability to prioritise and organise work, with minimal supervision

• Ability to work in a fast paced environment

• Vaccination and serology records prior to commencement

• Working with Children check
