Teacher Special Education - Macksville High School

Position Information

Macksville High School's current enrolment is 410 students, with 20% of students identifying as being Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander background.
The successful applicant will teach a recently formed Multi-Categorical class in the supported learning setting.

Selection Criteria

Approval to teach special education and/or experience in teaching students on the Autism spectrum, Emotional Disturbance and complex mental health presentations - Secondary setting.
Ability to create and maintain relationships with students, staff and parents/carers to support needs of students from a range of backgrounds.
Demonstrated ability to plan for and implement effective teaching and learning, whilst maintaining supportive and safe learning environments for all students.
Capacity to collaboratively deliver learning programs using innovative pedagogy and technology to improve student learning outcomes.

Conditions

An unconditional full approval to teach is a requirement. If you do not hold a full approval to teach with the NSW Department of Education, you are required to commence the application process at the same time as you apply for this teaching opportunity.
