Assistant Project Manager (Anniversary Celebration)
October 15, 2024
- planning and implementing anniversary programs and events under the leadership of the 35th Anniversary Celebration Organizing Committee (OC);
- liaising with various internal and external parties involved including but not limited to members of the OC, working units of the University, external contractors and other University stakeholders;
- supporting the event-related logistics (e.g. invitations and RSVP of events, handling of enquiries, sourcing and procurement of goods and services, venue reservation, catering arrangements etc.) to ensure a smooth and high-standard delivery;
- proactively maintaining good communication with different parties and teams to ensure effective collaboration and smooth delivery of program outcomes;
- supporting meetings and the related administration work of the OC; and
- other logistics and administrative work which might be involved in the project.
- possess a proven track record of organizing large-scale events and managing contractors effectively;
- be capable of working independently with minimal supervision, and collaborating with teams and stakeholders of different levels;
- be capable of multitasking with a good sense of prioritization of tasks;
- be a good team player with strong interpersonal and communication skills, with an excellent command of written and spoken English and Chinese; and
- possess sound knowledge in IT and software applications including Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel and Powerpoint.
Starting salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. Fringe benefits including annual leave, medical and dental benefits will be provided. A gratuity will be payable upon successful completion of contract.
