Join our dynamic HR team to build the Reward function within the newly formed Centre of Excellence (COE). This role demands expertise in compensation, benefits, wellness, and a comprehensive total reward mind-set. Key responsibilities include:
- Design, review, and revamp Compensation, Benefits & Wellness programs, guidelines and policies, and effectively communicate them.
- Conduct market research and competitive analysis to ensure compensation practices are both competitive and equitable.
- Lead and manage key annual HR processes, including the annual compensation review, merit adjustment exercise, internal progression and salary benchmarking, retirement benefits, health benefits, wellness programs, and other reward and benefits-related schemes and activities.
- Provide advice and guidance to HR team members and line managers on the interpretation and application of Compensation, Benefits & Wellness policies, schemes and programs.
- Evaluate HR processes related to Reward and collaborate with other team members to streamline, and automate processes for increased efficiency and effectiveness.
- Service as a subject matter expert in the design and delivery of rewards-related topics, enhancing knowledge and appreciation of HKUST’s total rewards package.
- Bachelor’s degree in HR, business, or a related field; an advanced degree is preferred.
- Over 15 years of experience in compensation, benefits, and wellness.
- Extensive knowledge of total reward best practices, trends, and regulations, ideally with experience in a higher education setting.
- Strong project management skills, with the ability to lead various task forces and prioritize competing demands.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to use data to drive decisions and a keen attention to detail.
- Experience in HR operations and employee services is a plus.
- Highly developed communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to clearly communicate complex ideas and exceptional policy writing skills.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment.
- Proficient in written and spoken English; Cantonese is advantageous.
Starting salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. Fringe benefits including annual leave, medical and dental benefits will be provided.
