The Hong Kong University of Science and Technology is a world-renowned, international research university in Hong Kong. The Center for Language Education invites applications for teaching-track faculty positions at the Lecturer rank. Level of appointment will be determined based on experience. The appointee is required to teach Cantonese, Putonghua and Chinese language.

Applicants should have a master’s degree in Chinese Language, Applied Linguistics or Language Education and preferably a recognized language teaching qualification. Competence in using technology for teaching is expected. Prior experience in teaching Cantonese and/or Chinese language/communication to students with Chinese and non-Chinese language background or at tertiary level is preferred. (Duration: 2 years)

Starting salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. Fringe benefits including annual leave, medical and dental benefits will be provided. A gratuity will be payable upon successful completion of contract.
