Senior Manager – Premises Management

Reporting to the Head of Human Resources and Administration, the appointee will be
responsible for premises management of the Authority covering office and facility planning,
renovation, maintenance and operation with the adoption of good practices and within reasonable
costs. Apart from devising the long term accommodation and maintenance plan in the light of
premises projects and/or new developments, s/he is required to provide technical advice to
Management on building conditions for effective and efficient utilization of premises that suits
business/operation needs. Planning and monitoring of capital and operating budget and
expenditure is also part of the role.

Requirements:
(a) A Degree holder in Architectural, Building Surveying, Project Management or related

discipline and with relevant professional qualifications;
(b) A minimum of 10 years’ managerial experience in building services, office and major

renovation projects and/or new development projects with solid experience in the following
areas:

i. Managing Alteration & Addition works, Fitting Out and Renovation works acquired
from developers or building consultancy firms

ii. Managing major renovation and/or new development projects e.g. major
refurbishment works or extensions

iii. Leading multi-discipline work teams
iv. Managing out-sourced service providers (consultants, suppliers and contractors for

renovation projects)
(c) Excellent Project Management skills and good understanding of contract administration;
(d) Good understanding of building operations, property industry, construction industry and

corporate real estate;
(e) Proficiency in local regulations regarding the design, construction, operation and

maintenance of buildings;
(f) Strong leadership with effective problem solving and organizing skills; and
(g) Customer oriented with pleasant personality, excellent communication and interpersonal

skills.

Employment Terms: The remuneration package will be commensurate with qualifications and
experience. Appointment will be on a fixed-term contract with contract-end-gratuity, MPF
benefits, medical and dental care. Future employment may be offered on renewable contracts
subject to performance and staffing needs.
