About the Job
This newly created role will involve regular travel to the Brussels office and occasionally to the factory and R&I locations in Belgium and The Netherlands .

You will work on transversal projects around external communication and reputation on the one hand, and internal communication & engagement on the other hand – for which you’ll support in the roll out of global campaigns while also developing and implementing local campaigns. Your focus lies on the Country Business Units (CBU) Belux and The Netherlands, and you go beyond when relevant reaching out to the production sites. Your scope includes all Danone categories: dairy, plant-based, waters and specialized nutrition (baby and medical).

The mission of the Communication Manager Benelux is to uphold Danone's purpose-driven mission of bringing health through food to as many people as possible in Belgium, the Netherlands & Luxemburg. This role is pivotal, as it will actively contribute to enhance Danone’s presence and reputation internally and externally in these three markets. With a specific focus on Belgium for external communication, the manager will craft messages and PR that resonate with the local market. Meanwhile, the emphasis on internal communication within The Netherlands will ensure that employees are well-informed and aligned with the company's vision and goals, fostering a strong, unified corporate culture. This role also highlights the importance of tailored communication in facilitating successful transformation and driving business growth.

Your responsibilities will be:

Both internal & external scope:

• Actively contribute to and implement the internal and external communication plan
• Identify internal and external communication opportunities
• Build content and creative concepts
• Co-lead the communication on Danone Impact Journey topics on health and planet for BNL, incl. B Corp

Internal scope:

• Lead office communication & engagement in Rijswijk
• Contribute to and implement company events Benelux (such as Danone Day)
• Join IC Core Team NL as IC SPOC Rijswijk
• Connect cross-functionally as IC SPOC & sparring partner for SN brand momentums Benelux

External Scope:

• Coordinate and implement external communications with link between MCO Benelux and the production sites in Belgium
• Coordinate publication of press releases & news updates Benelux (Belgium focus)
• Coordinate organization of press & KOL events Benelux (Belgium focus)
• Implement social media plan for Belgium

About you You read fondly, writing comes naturally to you and you are a convincing speaker. You look forward to helping colleagues find the right tone & words and help build the story of a global food company. You know what a B Corp is and would be passionate about working for one. You like creating plans that drive business forward and engage employees while enhancing the company’s reputation. You have a strong business acumen, stakeholder management skills and cross-functional collaboration skills, and are adept at adapting plans as circumstances change. You have excellent content creation skills, coupled with a proactive and pragmatic approach.

You also bring the following:

• You have at least 3 years of professional experience in corporate communications and/or media relations.
• You hold a Master’s degree in a relevant field.
• You are fluent in English and Dutch. French is a strong plus.
