Currently we are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Finance Officer to support our Finance team that consists of Financial & Business Controller and CFO. Your impact

The Finance Officer will support the day-to-day financial operations, including customer invoicing, purchase to pay process, bank reconciliations, financial reporting, and assisting in financial audits. This role is ideal for someone with 1-2 years of relevant experience who is organized, proactive, and comfortable working both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced, scale-up environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Invoice Management: Generate and process customer invoices based on contracts; handle vendor invoice processing and ensure accurate and timely invoicing.
• Payments Coordination: Track and follow up with customers, suppliers, and partners to ensure prompt payments, resolve any billing discrepancies, and maintain positive financial relationships.
• Bank Reconciliation: Track, manage, and reconcile bank statements to ensure up-to-date and accurate financial records.
• Month-End and Year-End Close: Assist with month-end and year-end financial close processes, including the preparation and review of journal entries and VAT returns.
• Audit Preparation: Participate in the annual audit process by compiling relevant documentation and supporting external auditors.
• Financial Reporting and Analysis: Prepare and analyze regular financial reports, contributing to the Finance team's goal of delivering actionable insights.
• Administrative Support: Provide administrative assistance to the Finance department and support other departments on financial matters as needed.

How you'll succeed

• Experience: 2-3 years in a relevant role (such as Accountant, Financial Assistant/Administrator, or Junior Financial Controller).
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and/or Google Sheets is required. Experience with accounting systems, especially Exact, is preferred; familiarity with systems such as Quick Books, Xero, Oracle, or Zoho Books is also beneficial.
• Mindset: Self-starter with a proactive and flexible attitude, comfortable in a fast-paced, scale-up environment; strong problem-solving and organizational skills.
• Language: Dutch is not required; fluency in English is essential.
