The German International School The Hague (DISDH) is the oldest international school in the Netherlands. As a registered school abroad, DISDH is in private sponsorship of the German School Society The Hague. Currently, about 400 children/students aged 3 to 18 years and about 70 employees attend our school.
Key responsibilities
You have a completed vocational training preferably as an IT specialist. Proficiency in both Apple (mac OS & i OS) and Windows operating systems: you should be comfortable using and troubleshooting both Apple and Windows environments, including relevant software, settings, and system navigation.
You have knowledge of server operating systems, server virtualisation, client virtualisation, client management, network and security components. You are service-oriented and work in a structured manner. Proactive with a high degree of commitment, you are reliable, accept personal responsibility and you are able to work under pressure. Working at a school, the joy of interacting with children/young people, as well as collaborating with a pedagogical team is a fundamental part of the job, and previous experience in a similar field is an advantage. You speak English and Dutch, German is a plus.

Key responsibilities
- Contact person for the school community for all questions concerning IT. Evaluating, categorising and prioritising error messages/requests, creating “trouble tickets”, answering user questions (user/ first level support).
- Analysing, working out solutions to problems and, if possible, solving the hardware and software-oriented problem/error situations by telephone, remote maintenance tool or on premise (second level support).
- Monitoring, planning and controlling of licences, contracts and new assets.
- Determination of educational, administrative and financial requirements and preparation of specifications for IT structure.
- Permanent analysis, documentation and proactive monitoring as part of risk management for long-term control of the ICT infrastructure.
- Preparation of the ICT budget (costs, investments) as part of annual planning and monitoring of costs in monthly reporting.
- Coordinating and managing the activities of our external partners.
- Training and support with the introduction of new application software.
