Your contribution to Tenne T

What will you do as policy advisor markets?

You actively contribute to an efficient energy transition by developing new concepts and design improvements for the electricity market, in close collaboration with stakeholders. You are working in particular on the following:

Your primary responsibility will be the development of robust, future-proof market design concepts to ensure resource adequacy. This involves close collaboration with colleagues, stakeholders and experts to shape a market design that ensures security of supply effectively.

You will develop strategies to align key decisions with Tenne T’s position, providing pro-active analysis and stakeholder management to ensure that our views are well-represented in the market design discussions.

You will represent Tenne T in external project teams and working groups on market design issues, establishing a strong network within the energy sector to influence policy development at the national and European levels.

You will critically analyze scientific articles, policy papers, and industry studies to extract insights relevant to market design. This involves synthesizing complex research findings to prepare internal decision-making processes and to ensure that Tenne T’s strategies are backed by the latest scientific evidence and best practices.

You will work in the market design team of highly educated and motivated people

Your profile and background

What do we expect from you?

You have an academic degree in economics, engineering or mathematics or a similar qualification
You have an excellent understanding of economic interrelationships and preferably have experience in analyzing rules and laws
You preferably have in-depth knowledge of the European energy sector, i.e. the electricity market and capacity mechanisms
Preferably broad network in the energy sector
You show initiative and can be assertive
You are able to get things done in a complex environment in collaboration with diverse internal and external stakeholders
Fluent in Dutch
Proficient in English, both verbally and in writing

The department Customers & Markets is there to position Tenne T as a thought leader in the European electricity markets. This way we support the operation of an efficient and resilient electricity system at the lowest costs.

Additional information

The weekly working time is 32-40 hours
Type of contract is indefinite

The salary range for this role is between € 4.369,- and € 8.594,- gross per month based on 40 hours in salary scale 9 of our TSO collective labor agreement.
