As a Scrum Master in IT Infrastructure, you will facilitate and coach teams to ensure the effective implementation of the SAFe mindset, methodologies, particularly Scrum.
Your role is to foster an Agile mindset among the Infrastructure teams, help them to understand the Agile values and principles to guide the team through the Scrum framework. Ensuring that all processes creating value so that the team can focus on their goals. You will also act as a coach, helping team members improve their skills and fostering a collaborative and productive environment.
This role is crucial for ensuring that IT infrastructure projects are delivered efficiently and effectively, with a strong emphasis on team collaboration and continuous improvement which results in an increase of Agile maturity within our teams.

Day to day:
Key Responsibilities:
- Facilitate Scrum Events:

- Organize and lead daily stand-ups, sprint planning meetings, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.
- Ensure that all Scrum events are productive and kept within the timebox.
- Coach Team Members:
-
- Provide guidance and coaching on Agile practices and principles.
- Help team members develop their skills and improve their performance.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement and self-organization.
- Remove Impediments:
-
- Identify and remove any obstacles that hinder the team’s progress.
- Work with other teams and stakeholders to resolve dependencies and issues.
- Manage Project Scope and Timeline:

- Coordinate sprints and manage the project timeline.
- Ensure that deliverables meet quality standards and are completed on time.
- Facilitate Communication:
-
- Act as a liaison between the team and external stakeholders.
- Ensure effective communication within the team and with other teams.
- Support Product Owners:
-
- Assist product owners in managing the backlog and prioritizing tasks.
- Help refine and clarify user stories and acceptance criteria.
- Promote Agile Practices:
-
- Advocate for Agile methodologies and best practices within the organization.
- Conduct training sessions and workshops to educate team members and stakeholders.
- Two working days per year volunteering for a local charity.

Essentials:
- Experience:
-
- Proven experience as a Scrum Master and Agile Coach in an IT infrastructure environment.
- Familiarity with software development and IT infrastructure projects.
- Knowledge:
-
- Excellent understanding of Empiricism, Scrum values, principles, techniques and artifacts.
- Good knowledge of other Agile frameworks (e.g., Safe, Kanban).
- Skills:
-
- Strong communication and servant leadership skills.
- Ability to coach and mentor team members.
- Problem-solving and conflict resolution skills.
- Proficiency in using Agile tools (e.g., Azure Devops, Jira).
- Certifications:
-
- Certified Scrum Master (CSM/ PSM) or similar Agile certification is preferred.
