Your Role
We are looking for a Technical Validation Specialist to join our team and contribute to the development of our products. The ideal candidate will have a passion for quality assurance and will play a crucial role in ensuring our products meet the highest standards of functionality and performance.
As a Technical Validation Specialist, you will design and execute both automated and manual tests to ensure the software runs smoothly, as well as identify and document any defects. You will collaborate closely with the engineering and product teams to resolve issues and contribute to continuous improvement in our software development lifecycle.
Your responsibilities

Develop and execute comprehensive test plans and test cases based on product requirements for softwares and also hardwares (on a superficial level).

Identify, document, and track software defects, working with developers to resolve them.

Create automated test scripts using industry-standard testing tools and frameworks

Perform regression, performance, stress, and security testing to validate product stability and security.

Collaborate with developers and the quality assurance team to understand product requirements and identify testing needs.

Ensure the test coverage of critical features and provide feedback on product quality.

Perform exploratory testing to discover edge cases and potential issues.

Maintain and improve existing testing frameworks and processes.

Report test progress, coverage, and quality metrics to stakeholders.

Handle benchmarking and comparative analysis with other devices
Your Profile and Skills
-
Proven experience as a Technical Validation Specialist or in a similar role.
-
Strong understanding of software QA methodologies, tools, and processes for issue investigation and troubleshooting.

Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
-
Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality products.
-
Self-motivated, proactive, and eager to learn new technologies.
-
Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects in a fast-paced environment.
-
A strong commitment to meeting deadlines and delivering exceptional results.
-
Resonate well with Fairphone’s vision and values.
-
Live (or willing to live) in the Netherlands and have the right to work within the EU.
Nice-to-haves -
Experience with Android devices and debugging tools is an added bonus.

Hands-on experience with automated testing tools (e.g., Selenium, JUnit, Appium) and programming languages such as Java, Python, or Java Script is a plus

Experience with performance and security testing is a plus.
