Application Security Analyst
Te Tūranga - The Role
The Applications Security Analyst plays a critical role in ensuring the security of software applications within an organisation. This position involves evaluating, enhancing, and maintaining the security posture of applications across the development lifecycle. The primary focus is on identifying vulnerabilities, implementing security controls, and ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
The Application Security Analyst performs the following core functions for the Tait.
- Ensure Engineering and Development teams achieve and maintain ISO27001 certification.
- Take ownership and ensure governance, policy, procedures, and standards are applied in Tait Engineering and Development to meet agreed security standards within the Business
- Identification, investigation, and resolution of security breaches related to Tait Products.
- Work closely with the CISO to create, implement, and maintain policies, standards and procedures to comply with ISO 27001.
- Strategy & Planning (Under guidance from CISO, and COO)
- Acquisition & Deployment
- Operational Management
To be successful in this role, you will have a bachelor's degree in computer science and/or relevant experience in the discipline.
Preferred: One or more of the following:
- Comp TIA Security+
- CISSP / CISA
- Certified ethical hacking or equivalent certification
- Any other relevant security certifications
- Familiarity with secure development frameworks to include OWASP/SANS and frameworks such as ISO27001, NIST or PCI- DSS.
- Experience in implementing ISO 27001 / NZISM or equivalent standards, documentation and management systems
- Working knowledge of intrusion protection, dual factor authentication, encryption and other security solutions.
- Understanding of IP, TCP/IP, and other network administration protocols.
- Working Knowledge in Software development life cycle preferably with digital radio products.
- Working knowledge of cloud security architectures and solutions.
