Mō te tūranga | About the Role

The Service Owner (SO) is the owner/operator running a ‘business’ that is responsible for delivering a service on a day-to-day and sprint-to-sprint basis. They work closely with internal customers to understand their needs, and defines the service vision, roadmap, and backlog, utilising prioritisation framework(s) for effective trade-off decisions.

The SO is responsible for defining stories and prioritising the team backlog to streamline the execution of QBR planning requirements while maintaining the conceptual and technical integrity of the service features or components for the team.

As the Service owner of cards and product capabilities you will be responsible for services that are then used by customer channels to make changes to a customer's cards and product arrangements (things like resetting a PIN or refixing a mortgage).

Experience with working on platforms as a product
Experience with SDLC / ITIL / Service Management
An understanding of banking/finance industry standards and regulations
Experience with Agile methodologies and best practices, from concept and planning through to delivery and ongoing support.
Experience with leading development teams and delivering products within complex environments.
Experience with managing scope and prioritisation, making data-based decisions and negotiating dependencies with other teams across the organisation.
Experience with iterative and continuous delivery methods and proficiency with visualising and presenting things like roadmaps.
The ability to collaborate and negotiate with a wide range of stakeholders, suppliers, and business partners.
The ability to record, monitor and manage an Agile team’s costs and budgets.
