General:
Assists NDT Specialist in providing non-destructive inspection within Company and regulatory authorities’ policies and procedures to ensure physical integrity of aircraft structures, engine parts and components.
Specifics:
(1) Performs NDT equipment System Performance Check for Serviceability.
(2) Reviews NDT work package and checks availability of NDT tools and equipment to ensure task compliance.
(3) Monitors and routes to Metrology Shop NDT equipment calibration based on established internal monitoring to ensure NDT equipment are not overdue and are within the calibration period.
(4) Monitors status and progress of NDT task per milestone and cards closure requirements to attain daily milestone and cards closure target.
(5) Assists the NDT Specialist in detailed inspections utilizing different NDT methods and techniques and, in the evaluation, and interpretation of results obtained in the performance of NDT.
(6) Coordinates with different production elements, customers, and OEM as regards to NDT requirements for accurate compliance of NDT task.
(7) Observes/implements safety policies and precautions relative to NDT activities including radiation safety during radiographic inspections to promote safety working environment and eliminate incidents and accidents.
(8) Performs other related duties that may be assigned from time to time.
(9) Ensures that safety and health risks are adequately assessed and controlled in the operations of area of responsibility.
(10) Ensures that safety incidents occurring in area of responsibility are investigated and reported.
(11) Ensures that safety and health rules, and requirements are implemented in the area of responsibility.
Qualifications:
1. Graduate of Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering Course or Aircraft Maintenance Technology or NDT Engineer Technology (3-year course)
2. Must be (a) at least (2) two years’ experience in NDT and with two (2) NDT method Level 2 training; or (b) at least (2) two years’ experience in aircraft maintenance, with at least six (6) months experience in NDT and with two (2) NDT method Level 2 training
