What are some of the things I will be doing?
The SME will work on a remote basis, creating content for a virtual bootcamp aimed at upskilling app developers in advanced digital marketing strategies.
This role requires flexibility to develop and adapt content for virtual learning, ensuring it meets the program's specific objectives and outcomes. Availability for virtual meetings across time zones may be required.
The SME will be responsible for designing and delivering industry-relevant, actionable content that enables app developers to optimise their marketing strategies, improve app store visibility, launch and manage effective campaigns, and measure campaign performance. The content should equip developers with skills to maximise user acquisition and optimise ad spending.

- Create detailed content for lesson plans, case studies, and practical exercises that align with the program’s learning outcomes.
- Develop content focused on app marketing strategies, App Store Optimization (ASO), Google App Campaigns, search text-based advertising, and analytics for campaign performance.
- Ensure materials are engaging, practical, and relevant to app developers in South Africa, emphasising hands-on application.
Create resources that enable developers to:
- Build comprehensive app marketing strategies tailored to their app's value proposition and competitive landscape.
- Use ASO techniques to improve app store visibility, focusing on elements like title, description, and keywords.
- Set up and optimise Google App Campaigns, applying advanced bidding and creative testing strategies.
- Develop and optimise keyword and ad copy strategies for search engine results pages (SERPs) and monitor campaign performance through analytics.
- Provide clear explanations and practical insights to ensure the material is accessible to developers with varying levels of marketing knowledge.
Collaboration and Feedback:
- Work closely with the Learning Design Lead to align on curriculum goals and ensure content relevance. Adjust content based on feedback from program participants and management to ensure continuous improvement.

- Analytics for campaign performance.
- App Marketing Campaign Experience: At least 3 years in digital marketing focused on mobile apps, including App Store Optimization (ASO) and Google App Campaigns, with proven results in user acquisition.
- Proficiency in Google UAC and ASO Tools: Hands-on experience with Google Universal App Campaigns (UAC) and ASO tools (e.g., App Annie, Sensor Tower), with examples of campaigns managed and tools used.
- Analytical Skills for Data-Driven Marketing: Proficient in using analytics platforms (e.g., Google Analytics, Firebase) to track KPIs, optimise campaigns, and conduct A/B testing, with examples of
