Digital Marketing & Web Optimization Specialist

We are seeking a Digital Marketing & Web Optimization Specialist to manage SEO, website functionality, and digital marketing across a diverse portfolio of companies, including Ascot Wealth Management, Cape Berkshire Asset Management, Dala Kreative, and Insanidy. This role focuses on applying and enhancing SEO processes through the Hike platform, managing Word Press sites, and supporting the growth of e-commerce through Shopify. The ideal candidate will also manage hosting accounts, CRM data, and automate workflows with Zapier.
Key Responsibilities:
This position reports to both UK- and South African-based managers and requires collaboration with a cross-functional team.
Location: Cape Town, South Africa (Initial 3 months in-office, with potential for hybrid setup)
Start Date: January 2025
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: R20 000,00 - R25 000,00 per month
Ability to commute/relocate:
Key Responsibilities:
- SEO & Content Optimization:
- Apply and optimize SEO strategies using Hike to increase traffic and enhance rankings for multiple brands across industries.
- Focus on process enhancement and reporting results to demonstrate traffic growth and engagement.
- Website Management (Word Press & Shopify):
- Manage Word Press sites, implementing functional and cosmetic updates using plugins and basic coding (sufficiently handled with resources like Chat GPT).
- Support growth and management of e-commerce sites on Shopify, handling product updates, brand ambassador functions, and facilitating site expansion.
- Hosting & Domain Management:
- Monitor hosting accounts on Dreamhost, ensuring site stability and performance.
- Manage hosting acquisitions and oversee any necessary transfers or consolidations for Word Press sites.
- CRM & Data Management:
- Manage CRM data with platforms like Get Response, utilizing existing templates for list management and mass marketing flow.
- Organize data to support marketing campaigns, track engagement, and handle webinar invites and attendee management.
- Automation & Integration (Zapier):
- Apply foundational Zapier knowledge to create basic workflows, with opportunities to advance through in-house training.
- Support automated processes across CRM, SEO, and marketing functions to improve operational efficiency.
- Experience with Hike or similar SEO platforms, with a focus on traffic enhancement and process application.
- Proficiency in Word Press for plugin-based updates and basic coding tasks.
- Familiarity with Shopify is desirable, particularly for site management and e-commerce growth.
- Knowledge of Dreamhost or similar hosting platforms.
- Basic CRM and email marketing skills, ideally with Get Response or similar systems.
- Foundational Zapier knowledge, with willingness to advance through available in-house training.
- Strong organizational skills with an ability to balance varied projects across industries.
