Evaluation Technician

In support of ISUZU's ongoing efforts to enhance organisational performane and provide employee development opportunities, the company is pleased to invite applications for and Evaluation Technician in the Teachnical Operations Department.ISUZU Motors South Africa reserves the right to appoint the succesful candidate accordingly. Only applicants that meet the specific criteria will be considered. Preference will be given to suitably qualified applicants who meet the requirements of the ISUZU Employment Equity Plan.
Minimum Requirements
- Qualified Auto Technician (Diesel, Petrol or Electrical) with Matric or N3
- Code 8 driver's license
- Code 14 driver's license will be advantagous
- Forklift license will be advantagous
- Good vehicle knowledge to deal with complex investigations
- Ability to work hand on using various tools and apply the technical knowledge to the actual problem solving situtation
- Understanding of vehicle communication systems
Duties and Responsibilities
- Inspecting vehicle engine and mechanical/electrical components to diagnose issues accurately
- Inspecting vehicle computer and electronic systems to repair, maintain and upgrade
- Conducting routine maintenance work aiming to vehicle functionality and longevity
- Conduct specialised testing
- Building engineering prototype vehicles
