What will you be doing?
Based in South Africa, you will be working as part of the Circana UK Item Placement team. An Item Placement Analyst maintains the product dimension of the custom client databases assigned to him/her. In close collaboration with UK Client Service and several other operational departments, an Item Placement Analyst has a shared responsibility for delivering the client database on time and correct
Job Responsibilities
❑ Coordination and implementation of all Item Placement overarching tasks.
❑ Updating the database with new items and attribution.
❑ Sharing new item list, an overview of newly placed items, with the client and processing their feedback
❑ Updating of totals
❑ Validations/QC’s
❑ Closing and finalizing databases
❑ Minor restatements (limited set of changes to the product structure of the database)
❑ Liaising with internal and external stakeholders
❑ Keeping all relevant documentation updated
❑ Follow the operational item placement process & governance processes.
❑ Actively seeks out client product performance in the market to keep relevant.
❑ Maintaining strong internal cross-departmental relationships with local and UK colleagues.
❑ Display a solid understanding of the business and our service offerings.
❑ Attends training, business updates, knowledge shares and team events as and when required.
❑ Adheres and enforces to all relevant policies and procedures.
❑ Communicates issues and deadlines to Manager and/or team leads as required.
❑ Able to work extra hours as and when required to ensure deadlines are met.
❑ Mentors and develops the operational and quality assurance skills of the more junior members of the team in a
constructive manner.
❑ Oversee and guide new junior team members and assist in their orientation and on-boarding.
❑ Supports the Item Placement Team Lead and Projects Team Leader with the management of the team and team
initiatives, etc.

❑ Able to effectively work independently and in teams to deliver on client requirements accurately and on-time
❑ Showcase high levels of attention to detail
❑ Maintaining a high level of data quality
❑ Readily puts in whatever time and effort is required to achieve goals
❑ Prioritises workload and consistently meets established deadlines
❑ Works to remove barriers to collaboration while balancing the interests of multiple stakeholders
❑ Builds trust with local & global colleagues by having long-term view working relationships
❑ Able to gain support, including time and resources, towards solving client satisfaction and delivery issues
Requirements
❑ Associate’s degree (BCom/BSc)
❑ Working knowledge of Data Models is required
❑ 4+ years FMCG or Data Management experience
❑ Excellent command of the English language
❑ Excellent verbal and written communication skills
❑ Time management
❑ Hands-on mentality, resourceful & results oriented
❑ Accurate, consistent, team player, flexible
❑ Analytically strong
❑ Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel
