Job summary
The Defence College of Technical Training (DCTT) is a tri-Service organisation delivering technical and management training to Royal Navy, Army and Royal Air Force personnel in the domains of Electro-Mechanical, Communications & Information Systems and Aeronautical Engineering. The DCTT schools are geographically distributed at sites in Blandford Forum, Cosford, Digby, Gosport and Lyneham, with the Headquarters (HQ) principally based at MOD Lyneham.

To assure DCTT stakeholders that the training systems in use across the College:
- Are effective in meeting customer and consumer requirements;
- Comply with endorsed Defence training policy;
- Meet Defence’s ‘Care of Trainees’ obligations;
- Meet, where required, relevant legislative and accreditation requirements;
- Promote a culture of continuous improvement and organisational learning.

- Level 5 qualification (or equivalent) in Post Compulsory Education and Training (PCET)

Evidence of practitioner level competence from one or more Specialist Instructional Officer (SIO) competences (SI1, SI2, SI3 or SI4)
or -
Evidence of professional formation of the minimum core competences for entry to the Burnham Lecturer (BL) occupational group
or - Evidence of formation of Defence Trainer, Defence Trainer Supervisor or Defence Workplace Trainer competence.

Level 5 qualification (or equivalent) in Post Compulsory Education and Training (PCET)

The post does not offer relocation expenses.
External recruits who join the MOD who are new to the Civil Service will be subject to a six-month probation period.
