Support Engineer - System Integration (Ref:240001IQ)

Responsibilities

Support the communication system interface design and advance works of new line extension projects such as Tung Chung Line Extension, Tuen Mun South Extension etc.
Undertake interface design tasks assigned on a wide range of communications especially in various types of networking and cybersecurity system, data center virtualization system, Information Display Systems, Public Address and Mobile Apps for the project interface with new line extensions to ensure the user requirements of the project are met
Participate in the interface design of different systems, establish the design standards and prepare the technical specifications of interface systems with due consideration / close coordination of other engineering systems to ensure the prevailing safety and reliability asset performance
Provide technical support to the communication and innovation projects through investigation, feasibility studies, test/trials, reviewing of the relevant engineering operation and maintenance standards, as well as application of new technology
Conduct technical and incident investigations, attend site surveys and testing & commissioning, and coordinate interfaces with other systems/parties

Requirements

Degree in Electrical / Electronic / Computer Science or a related discipline is preferred
A minimum of 3 years’ relevant experience in communication systems, of which 2 years should be related to railway equipment
Experience in system engineering, system integration, interface management and requirements management is preferred
Certificate in networking, cybersecurity and data center virtualization is preferred
Self-motivated with good communication, analytical and problem-solving skills
Willingness to work at night time during the site survey and test & commissioning

Requirements

Appointment will be made on two-year renewable contract terms
Required to work at night time during the site survey and test & commissioning
