Your job
You will be part of our Finance team which contains 18 finance specialists. Our department is segmented into 2 different teams: Finance Process Experts (FPE) and Business Partners (FBP). In your role, you will be a part of the FPE team. You will be working for Decathlon Digital, a new entity located in Amsterdam, and will deal with a wide range of tasks: from checking of invoices allocation to taxes. The scope of the new entity is relatively small so it can be a good opportunity to observe the full scope of accounting procedures and controls.
Responsibilities

Responsibilities

Ensuring accuracy of financial figures.

Performing month-end closing tasks

Working on the topics of investments (fixed assets), salary reconciliation and payments, and bookings/allocation of invoices in the system

Performing monthly, quarterly and annual financial review.

Monitoring that expenditures are in line with the internal policies.

Overseeing the preparation of accurate and timely financial reports, including balance sheet, profit and loss statements, and cash flows statements.

Ensure compliance with generally accepted accounting principles.

Implement and maintain a robust system of internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure accuracy in financial reporting.

Ensure compliance with financial regulations and company policies, including tax, audit, and legal obligations.

A salary range up to €3200,- (based on a 38-hour workweek), a possible monthly bonus, 8% holiday pay and 24 wonderful holiday days.

What we expect from you

You have a passion for sports!

You have at least 1 year of relevant work experience in finance

You are result-and solution-oriented, you do this with a proactive and stress-resistant attitude;

You are persuasive and have excellent communication skills and good in internal/external stakeholder management
