We’re looking for a Financial Accountant to join our team in Poeldijk, Netherlands on a 12 month fixed term contract basis.

As our Financial Accountant you will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and integrity of our financial records. To be successful in this role you will be an experienced and qualified professional with a strong background in commercial finance.


Responsibilities include:

• Preparation of month end & annual reports and reconciliations (debtors, creditors, bank accounts, intercompany accounts etc.)

• Completing monthly and quarterly tax returns

• Creating and maintaining the integrity of spreadsheets and/or databases to record, monitor and compile information

• Working closely with the Finance Manager to support with the preparation of the annual budget

• Conducting internal audits and working with external auditors, providing accurate and timely information

• Provision of expert assistance to the CFO in the maintenance and development of financial reporting models

• Preparing financial forecasts and statements in line with company requirements

• Tax reporting and inventory processing

• Ad hoc duties to support the wider finance team across Europe and the UK

Requirements

Experience we look for:

Essential

• Qualified accountant (ACA/CIMA/ACCA) or qualified by experience

• Previous experience of working within a commercial finance environment

• Computer literate with strong Excel and analytical skills

Desirable

• Knowledge of MS D365 would be advantageous

• Experience of fresh produce/food manufacturing

• Ability to collaborate across teams and build successful relationships with peers both internally and externally where necessary

• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
