Job description
As a Sea Freight Operator, you are part of the team responsible for the Sea Freight transportation. You will perform all operational activities aimed at handling transport and doing Sea Freight transportation. You communicate with various departments and subsidiaries, internal and external, involving both customers' and colleagues’ advice.
Tasks
· Collecting and sourcing Sea Freight from shipping line and proceed booking;
· Collecting LCL, trucking cost partners;
· Booking shipments for trucking or ocean transportation with operation team;
· Cooperate with other subsidiaries’ freight forwarding departments globally;
· Support sales, operation and warehousing team members;
· Analyze volume, client, route, and market forecast/advice (intermediate knowledge of Excel/MS-office).
Competences
· Preferably a Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management or a related field;
· Preferably 1 to 2 years of experience in similar roles within the transportation or logistics industry;
· Knowledge of transportation markets and freight forwarding is a plus
· Good communication skills with HQ and other countries;
· Self-motivated nature;
· Sense of responsibility;
· Good organizational and management skills;
· Fluent in English, proficiency in additional European languages is a plus.
