Job Title: Canadian Tax Accountant
Work Setup & Schedule:

• Hybrid (Mon-Fri, 4am to 1pm)

What you’ll be doing:

• Tax Preparation: Prepare and file Canadian tax returns, including T1s, T2s, T4s, T5s, and GST/HST returns.
• Review and analyze financial statements and documents for tax return preparation.
• Administrative Support: Draft and manage email communications with clients
• Assist in preparing and sending engagement letters and invoices.
• Organize and maintain electronic files and records.
• Bookkeeping: Perform bookkeeping tasks using Quick Books Online (QBO)
• Reconcile bank statements
• Marketing Support (Not mandatory, but would be a plus): Assist with marketing efforts, including social media management and content creation.

What will make you a great fit:

• Fluent in written and spoken English.
• 3-5 years of experience with general accounting and tax preparation (preferably Canadian tax).
• Strong knowledge of T1s/T2125s (Individual & Sole proprietor returns), T2s (Corporate Tax returns) and GST/HST (Sales tax) returns.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to follow instructions meticulously.
• Experience with Quick Books Online (QBO) and bookkeeping.
• Proficiency in Excel and Spreadsheets
• Strong organizational, time management, and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Prior experience in a similar administrative role is preferred.
• Experience with marketing and social media management is a plus.
