Purpose of the Position:
  • Own the Digital Delivery Product Performance Output vs set KPI Targets for all the DE Platforms in order to support the Digital Delivery Business in making informed business decisions based on accurate data.
  • As a key business owner of Product Performance operations this roles serves as a key input into the Digital delivery business strategy and will be required to formulate a data led business advising strategy that will support the Digital Delivery Business goals and objectives.
  • Identify and assess the potential introduction of new tools, techniques and technologies into Digital to enable faster delivery of deeper insights to the business such as, key drivers and value creators within customer journeys(UI/UX Design), Analyze digital platforms performance (including digital awareness activities) and provide insights for future planning and product development, develop and deploy advanced analytics to support the Digital Business in exploring new segmentation opportunities and effectively measure the value of the Group Digital’s digital initiatives.
  • Implement and continuously improve official Key Performance Indicator reporting from an operational level to an executive level for all the relevant Digital Delivery stakeholders with key focus on the Multichoice Africa regions including South Africa and together with all the relevant product performance reporting requirements.


Key Performance Objectives
Analytics, Insights & Product Performance Reporting:
  • Perform industry research to remain current with industry trends, advice the product development teams as well as the digital adoption & awareness teams by sharing latest digital advancements and platform / vendor updates.
  • Influence the UI/UX Journey and design by performing user journey experiments as well as developing journey based reports in collaboration with the Mar Tech Team.
  • Brief CII on reporting dashboards requirements per business requirements and prepare reporting insight decks for key stakeholders.
  • Brief CII to Build and maintain clear/concise recurring automated reports that measure and track success.
  • Ensure that Payments User Journeys for all self-service platforms are tagged and enabled for user journey drop off reporting
  • Drive deep dive analysis into the digital self-service paying base and identify key recommendations that will allow growth of digital self-service payments and channel share.
  • Support the Digital Delivery Business in the conceptualization and base line validations for Key Business KPI’s required to drive and deliver on business goals.
  • Develop and maintain a reporting requirements briefing process that will ensure that the set measures of success are aligned to business objectives – this process to be used to brief CII and manage the backlog priority from this.
  • Develop and maintain an effective business relationship with CII and the DE Teams and share best practice knowledge that will assist in moving Group Digital to the next level.


Journey Analytics Engagement and Support:
  • Identify opportunities to improve business as usual processes using modern technologies and automation, e.g. help identify key drivers and value creators within customer journeys.
  • Provide funnel analysis and be able to set up campaign and testing together with the teams to track customer journeys and impact on growth and the business.
  • Input into the building of customer segmentation and propensity models used for targeted communications using the models.
  • Analyze Group Digital Awareness & Adoption campaign performance and effectiveness and provide actionable insights for future planning and campaign development.
  • Set up tracking and ensure budget is allocated to best performing campaigns.
  • Analyze content performance for the following channels and make recommendations as to where to move spend and creative resources: Market Sensing data (Attribution, Benchmarking), Customer Journeys, Digital Channels – onsite activation
  • Collaborate with the various data teams including MARTech to Maintain, build and improve data consolidation and automation from media platforms, publishers, web analytics, Automated Marketing and CRM platform to enable an integrated view of the data in one environment.
  • Design and drive the implementation of complex user journey reports in our Marketing Reporting tools through the relevant analytics teams.


Data Modeling:
  • Generation of consistent, high-quality digital results based on partners / campaign goals, analysis metrics, develop comprehensive analysis and actionable insights to help drive improvements to customer experience.
  • Perform segmentation analyses and identify areas for Digital Awareness & Adoption campaign optimization opportunities.
  • Support and ideate in designing impactful Test & Learn campaigns that will define and influence Multichoice’s overall Digital Experience.
  • Tell the story - communicate insights and recommendations to business partners and leaders.
  • Establish roadmap to improve scalability of data pipelines and modeling infrastructure.
  • Collaborate with product teams to deliver solutions that enhance the customer experience and improve efficiency of user acquisition.
  • Optimize matching systems that connect users across the digital landscape.
  • Own pro-search algorithms and natural language processing classifiers.
  • Provide hands-on technical guidance to data scientists and analysts to encourage technical growth and ensure proper application of standard methodologies.
  • Responsible for the performance of data science products with a keen understanding of the levers to provide increased value.
  • Ensure that the right level of access to the Group Digital Data is maintained & audited.


Benefits Realisation:
  • Develop a framework that will drive the implementation of a Benefits Realization Model that covers the Return of Investment for Digital Enablement
  • Operate as the custodian of the Digital Enablement Benefits realization Model
  • Align with key stakeholders within Digital Enablement to ensure alignment on requirements and standards to adhere to in order to ensure that the right level of processes are put in place to ensure that effort/investment in Digital Enablement projects are tracked


Governance & Benchmarking:
  • Compile and Maintain a working Benefits Realization Model for every key Digital Enablement Project
  • Compile and Maintain a working Reporting Requirements Document that is aligned to signed of measures of success per key project/feature/enhancement
  • Ensure that all key projects/features/enhancements that are flagged for reporting requirements are logged with CII as per the set CII SOP
  • Remain abreast of current and emerging trends regarding Analytics, Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence.
  • Ability to explain the big picture and complex product performance issues in a way that non-technical people may understand.
  • Maintain an in-depth understanding of the key features, advances and challenges of these trends.


Stakeholder Management:
  • Work with data engineers, information specialists, principal business analysts and principal data scientists to uncover opportunities to produce deeper business insights faster.
  • Work with vendors to arrange demonstrations, gain product knowledge and partake in assessments.
  • Input into the broader Group Digital’s Measurement Framework.
  • Integrated with broader data and analytics functions to within MCG to unlock value from our broader Enterprise Data Strategy (EDS).
  • Work with key stakeholders to generate hypotheses and create analytic models that answer impactful business questions.


Qualifications
  • Degree in Technology, business or similar qualification
  • Business Analysis, Data Science Qualification advantageous

Experience
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in digital enablement/product development
  • Proven track record in developing and providing key Business Insights
  • Strong experience in delivering customer-centric products or services
  • Knowledge of Agile Methodology
  • Experience in working with cross-functional teams across Design, Business and Technology
  • Experience with working with multiple Data Streams within a complex organization
  • Experience in data-driven approach to data management planning and execution
  • Strong stakeholder relationship management skills
