About this opportunity
Are you passionate about driving strategic growth and shaping business development in the field of intellectual property rights (IPR)? Ericsson is seeking a dynamic and visionary Head of Strategy & Business Development to join our IPR Strategy & Value unit within the IPR & Licensing business. In this role, you will play a critical part in ensuring that Ericsson continues to monetize its IPR portfolio, driving development of new licensing programs, and contributing to our global IPR strategy.
This position reports directly to the Vice President of IPR Strategy & Value and will manage a team of 4-5 direct reports. You’ll work closely with other units across the IPR & Licensing organization, ensuring seamless collaboration and execution of strategic goals.

What you will do

Strategic Development and Growth: Play a pivotal role in shaping Ericsson's global IPR strategy to maximize our intellectual property monetization efforts and further grow IPR licensing revenues.
Drive development of Licensing Programs in new areas: Lead the development and creation of new licensing programs outside of our established licensing business, identifying and validating licensing opportunities that align with Ericsson’s strategic goals.
Cross-functional Collaboration: Act as the "glue" within the IPR & Licensing team, working horizontally across all units to drive a cohesive and strategic approach.
Process Management: Manage the process from identification to portfolio validation, ensuring a smooth handover to our licensing organization.

You will bring

Educational Background: An M.Sc., LLM, or MBA is required.
Experience: Proven experience in developing licensing programs, patent acquisitions and divestments or proven experience from business and technology strategy development, with a strong preference for candidates with experience from operating companies in the Telecom/ICT industry.
Leadership Skills: Demonstrated leadership experience with the ability to manage a team of 4-5 direct reports.
Analytical & Strategic Thinking: Strong analytical skills and a strategic mindset, capable of turning insights into actionable strategies.
Communication & Business Acumen: Excellent communication skills and a strong business acumen, with the ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels.
